Graham Squires is Associate Professor and Head of Property Group at Massey University, New Zealand (PhD – University of Manchester).

Graham has published key articles in top-ranked journals on Property Economics and Public Policy. He has published many journal articles involving topics relating to property finance and residential property. He is on the editorial board of the Property Management Journal. Invited speaking has been extensive with contributions to academic seminars, consultancies and professional bodies. Reviewing work has been with international grant and political councils - the most prominent being the UN (United Nations). He has extensive membership and networking groups with engagement in many learned societies.
Graham is Executive Director of the Massey University Property Foundation, a fund for the advance of property teaching and research in policy and practice. Furthermore, he is Director for the Real Estate Analysis Unit (REAU) at Massey University. Projects and reports have been generated by grants with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (x2), Environment Agency UK (EA), Forces in Mind, City Housing Partnerships, and the UK Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC). He has been a visiting scholar at the University of California Berkeley, awarded by the prestigious Fulbright US–UK Visiting Scholarship Program (2013-14), visiting researcher to University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2006), and a visiting scholar to Delft University, Holland (2017). He is Co-Author of Building Procurement (Routledge 2011); Solo Author of Urban and Environmental Economics (Routledge, 2013); Co-editor of International Approaches to Real Estate Development (Routledge, 2015); and Co-editor of the Companion to Real Estate Development (Routledge, 2017). Graham regularly comments with the media on housing affordability and other property related issues.
